1 Bedroom House in Blacksburg
Guesthouse less than 2 miles from downtown Blacksburg but out of the town noise. We have chickens and a large garden outback. The guest house is connected to our family’s house but separated by a door and has its own parking and entry.
The Cottage is less than 5 minutes from Virginia Tech but off of a backroad. We have mountain and garden views and starry skies at night. There is a large gravel area to park in and lighted stairs leading down to the front porch. On the porch there is seating for four under two large cherry trees. Just inside the front door there is a kitchen with a full refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, crockpot, hot plate (plug in burner) and other appliances. There is not a full sized oven. Attached to the kitchen is a laundry area with a washer, dryer, iron and ironing board.
To the left when you walk in is the bathroom with a modern double sink, a sit in shower and a large storage area. The living room is open to the kitchen with an eat in bar. In the living room there is a large screen TV, a vintage velvet chair, and an American Leather sleeper sofa. The sofa folds out to a queen sleeper sofa with a thick memory foam mattress. Continuing into the bedroom there is a queen bed with a memory foam mattress and luxury linens. The bedroom and living room look out over the gardens and mountains, giving it a very private feel.
The living room connects to our side of the house by a double door with a sound blocking barrier that has double locks on both sides. We have young children, and while we do our best to keep them quiet particularly on short stays, there may be some noise since the areas are next door.
