The Second Best view in all of Southwest Harbor - both Ocean and Mountains.
The only view better is via the property to the northeast, which was just taken off the rental market. BRAND NEW LUXURY HOME! Finished October 2017. 85ft from the water in Southwest Harbor. Four total bedrooms. The bedrooms were designed and decorated with peace, serenity, and optimal views in mind. The upper floor features 12 inch wide southern yellow pine, which was hand hammered with antique reproduction nails. 10 inch real ship-lap on the walls, white washed v-groove pine on the ceilings. Vaulted ceilings with unique geometry and large windows provide the sensation of being on top of the water! Both upper bedrooms have KING beds. Kids BR with two two twins on first floor is a Pottery Barn Kids dream. AC upper 2 bedrooms and 1st floor bedrooms.
It is highly doubtful you will find a newer or more finely appointed home in the Southwest Harbor area. No detail was spared in the design of this home - all ship lap, beadboard, wood floors are solid wood. No laminates, veneers, etc. Professional lighting fixtures throughout. All Furnishings are either antique or brand new / custom made to look antique. All high end furnished from the living room to the beds and bedding. 650 sq ft. wrap around deck with covered porch on one side. Cottage perennial gardens span the length of the house on all sides - over 50 different plant types. Likely only one other home in Southwest Harbor with gardens that come close. Have fun counting the Monarchs!
The home is Located on the the very desirable Shore Road with expansive views of both Southwest Harbor and the Mountains of Acadia. From the front of the house you are looking straight down the entrance of Some Sound. One can see Greening Island, Bear Island Lighthouse, Sutton Island, and a partial view of the Cranberry Islands. There is a large family room with a day bed, along with a 50 inch TV and surround sound. House has both a living room and a family room. Four full bathrooms.
The Front deck facing the Harbor spans the length of the front and of the side of the house. Side is covered. Teak wood table with four chairs and a bench on the front deck. Side has two Wicker chairs and a table along with a couple of rocking chairs. If the Front deck is not enough, the back of the house has a natural Blue-stone patio with another teak table and chairs.
For those that like quiet - the windows are Anderson A-series and the roof has 10 inches of closed cell spray foam.
Downtown' Southwest harbor is a short 2 minute car ride and the Seawall beach of Acadia National Park is 3 minutes by car. Many restaurants close by, but you may not want to leave the house!
All Stays are Saturday to Saturday.
NO PETS. NO Animals of any kind.
NO SHOES in the house, house is kept in "as new" clean condition, which out guests appreciate, especially now.
