It is a short four mile trip into Blue Hill Village which offers local restaurants, a wine shop, bakeries, a farmers market, art galleries, shopping, hiking and many more coastal Maine attractions. Acadia National Park is 30 miles away.
The cottage sleeps 6 people, though can easily accommodate more with cots. Upon request a pack and play, high chair and other child necessities are available. A water filtration system has been installed in this house. The tap water has a higher level of arsenic than recommended by the EPA. You can use the spigot on the sink for drinking and cooking water, and a Zero Water Filter for bathrooms is available for drinking. Bathing, dish washing and laundry are not a problem. Higher arsenic levels and radon levels are common in this area because of the large amounts of granite that we have. A radon mitigations system has also been installed.
